Svjata Vatra goes to a Baltic Sea tour 2010! Category: Music

Teisip, 25/05/2010 - 06:15
Right after the Midsummer Day, Svjata Vatra joines the fleet of 6 historic Estonian
ships to help them bring the Estonian culture to the doorstep of the overseas
neighbors, to the ports of mainland and islands of Latvia, Sweden and Finland.
We will have a festival in every port, with a show introducing Estonia and culminating in a unique spectacle, probably the first time in the world history - a shadow play on the sail of a ship, accompanied with Svjata Vatras arrangements of ancient Estonian runo songs combined with modern dance, fireshow and video art. Throughout the show, texts of the old Estonian songs are displayed to the sail-screen, so all the spectators could sing along regardless of their nationality. The result - an epic show, ancient and modern at the same time.

Gotan Project and Estonian firefolk Svjata Vatra will be performing in Tallinn's Nokia Concert Current mood: artistic Category: Music

Esmasp, 12/04/2010 - 19:38
On the 13th of april, French club-tango stars Gotan Project and Estonian
firefolk Svjata Vatra will be performing in Tallinn's Nokia Concert Hall

Svjata Vatra is a powerful mix of estonian and balkan music traditions -
an Ukrainian caracter, nordic bagpipes,  rock drums and the rich
accordion.

The band will present a special programme that was also seen and heard
recently on Tallinn Music Week - the firefolkers will play together with
the renowned DJ and producer P. Julm (known f.e. from "Rules of the Deep"
and "Broken Time Orchestra"), who will mix Svjata Vatra's music on stage
so the outcome will be a rockconcert and a party at the same time.

The Gotan Project - the loved and praised trio from Paris mixing
Argentinean tango with club music, are back in Tallinn to present their
new album „Tango 3.0“ just a week after its release!
